Acceptace to Alternate Sexuality will be Decided by Circumstancess
What are the challenges that society faces in accepting the concept of alternate sexuality? How can we address them? – This is the theme I need to discuss here. But it it too much accepted in west? A lot discussion has been on this subject. But it is still a stigma in society.
India is a gender sensitive country. It is male chauvinistic. But it has history where it has identified role of other gender – female and hinjada .I am remembering of overhearing discussion of a social activist couple in Bhubaneswar. Both are well known as social activist. Wife told: women are finding justice. Society is treating woman as goddess or slave. I also liked the statement and carry the impression for sometime with me.
There was a marriage proposal of one my relative. The proposal was from sister of the woman activist to the brother of one of my family member. The boy was backed out of the proposal. I have remembered the woman activist asking me to intervene in the proposal. She told me that her party was willing to give dowry. Still I feel disturbed when I remember this. I have regards for everybody and know that the activist was forced to support dowry under circumstances.
Our society is a slave of circumstances. Reason-ability is circumstances based here. Acceptance of alternative sexuality will be circumstances based only.
